Dum Spiro Spero

While I breathe, I hope! Our state motto puts it perfectly regarding the start of football season coming in 127 days. GO TIGERS!!!!!

This is how I remember our state motto.

For those old enough to know who SPIRO Agnew was, and how DUMb he was, then that's how I easily have always remembered that motto.

Same motto USuCk has about winning football games!***

I'm hearing/seeing hopeful signs.

A couple of local universities in our area (not big football schools, but whatever) have announced they do plan to open for business as usual in August.

Granted, this is not the same as a big school like Clemson that needs to be open in June/July for fall football practice to open, but still - this is the first I have seen of colleges saying they do in fact plan to open and while taking precautions, they still plan to have students on campus as normal. That is a good sign.

Also, just the data. Numbers are going down in many places.

SCHOOL DOES NOT HAVE TO BE OPEN FOR FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES TO BEGIN.

School has to be staffed, at a minimum.

It ain't like those football players wash their own practice togs, cook their own meals, etc.

But the PC schools will not allow football without something like a normally opened school, including students.
