Illogical pet peeve...

For some reason I cannot stand when people say "It is what it is". I don't know when this saying became popular but it seems to have blown up in usage within the past 5 years. It is a catch all phrase to respond to almost any situation and is, essentially, a glorified way to say "#### it".
I especially cannot stand when people use it at work. It makes me want to punch them square in the forehead.

I hear ya dude. Similarly, I've grown to hate the term 'adversity' in sports. Every stupid little thing is adversity that has to be overcome. Drives me nuts. Isn't there another way to describe coming from behind to win a game?

One of my pet peeves is "No problem" as a response to "Thank you", especially by service industry people doing their jobs.
