If the failed tests were for weed, then it doesn't ..

Dec 29, 2015, 10:13 PM

necessarily mean that these guys were smoking it this week down in So. Florida. Weed stays in your system and can trigger a positive test anywhere from two weeks to about a month before the test. STill doesn't make it right, but it also doesn't mean that these guys were definitely getting high the week of the biggest game of their lives.

Can student athletes beat a drug
test by consuming large amounts of fluids?

No. NCAA protocol requires each student
athlete’s urine sample be analyzed onsite
prior to sending the sample to the lab.

If the specimen is too dilute, the student
athlete will be required to remain in drug
testing until an adequate specimen is collected. This could take several hours. All Players are tested after a championship or playoff game

Per NCAA rules, players are randomly selected to be tested before 1st and 2nd round of the playoffs and can be tested more than once for each game. And they can be tested any time of the day. They are told this by the coaches and yet they still act like idiots

Depends on the test. If they test the hair weed can

Show up for months. Urine is much shorter so I've heard.

So I guess now we know why Cain was eating all those...

Christmas tree cakes.

NO EXCUSE.....

Dec 29, 2015, 10:31 PM

they know how long a substance, any substance, can be traced in a urine test and they were well aware that players are tested before any championship games and they know that they could be tested more than once for a playoff game and can be tested for both playoff games. There is no excuse whatsoever that can make it any better. They failed the test, they failed the other players, they failed Dabo and Clemson, failed their families, but most of all failed themselves.

they took their chances and lost

Dec 29, 2015, 10:43 PM

getting high was more important to them than playing for a national championship

If it stays in your system for that long, it means you smoke a lot of it. Habitually. Not really the excuse you want to use. If it was only a one time thing, well they shouldn't have been smoking this week. That's if it was weed.

2 weeks vs 2 days? What difference does it make?

Dec 29, 2015, 10:41 PM

My goodness.

The difference is that many presumed that those guys were

in South Florida this week getting high just days before the big game. My point was only that it may not have been the case. Those guys could have gotten high three weeks to a month ago and still triggered a positive test. Still doesn't make it right, as I said.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I understood your point very clearly. My point...

Dec 29, 2015, 11:15 PM

...is it makes no difference when it occurred. Getting high on South Beach or back in Clemson or even at home for Christmas. No bearing on the end result. But you're correct, we don't know yet.
