But you can bet with the contract the remaining schools have signed giving their 1st and 2nd tier TV rights to the Big 12 they won't be leaving.

and I can tell you... they are not UNC/Duke...
There is UNC/Duke bias in front offices and it is evident in things such as officiating...
That's not the case with Texas... they just think they're better.

They're not. They just offer a lot more money, which is the only argument I've seen for moving.

You kiddin? 9th conference game coming which screws FSU, GT, and Clemson out of major bucks?
3rd year probation(unprecented before or since) No extra probation for UNC from the same dude who screwed us in '84.
Less money by far
More attendance in Death Valley, different, more well travelled fan bases(don't believe it? ...think BC, UVA, Mary, Duke, Wake and remember how few show up in Death Valley each home game) =======more money for us.
Wake up and smell the coffee on this!

we played Missouri and they barely brought family and friends. TCU brought a very small contingent to DV, but in fairness, they were a fun group.

That's the public reason...

....but the facts are that Nebraska and Texas A&M voted WITH Texas in conference matters far more than they voted against. It would seem that if Texas was that big of a problem that there would have been a much larger disconnect that truly existed.
The real reason is money for the most part. Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Missouri all joined conferences that will pay out more than the Big XII. Colorado had coveted the PAC10 for years, and due to the fact they don't have a built in recruiting base in-state had always recruited the West Coast heavily.

one of the problems.
don't know what the votes were on key issues. the acc requires a certain number of votes depending on the issue. recently reported a 7-4 vote for additional penalties to UNC; 1 vote shy.
tejas was the major problem out there, even OU & OSU had one foot out the door until tejas made concessions late last year.

Each day I'm leaning more and more towards leaving the ACC, it really would be a good move for football, and how awesome would it be to have Texas and Oklahoma come get that a** smacked up in The Valley.
