Does DRad have to wait until May to fire Coach Brownell in

order to get the reduced buy out from $5 Million to $3.5 Million or can he do it at season's end, should he decide to go in that direction? I believe his new $10.6 Million Dollar Contract that DRad came up with was signed in May of 2014.

I still believe a trip to the NIT is enough for DRad, but even that possibility may be in jeopardy.

long, long time. Perhaps that was the purpose of the post. DRad is the athletic director that gave Paul Hewitt such a huge contract that Georgia Tech was stuck with him for so long that it ruined their basketball program. I think DRad is the one that did that as well.

Correct - I was touting bad BB contract with Hewitt before this crazy deal with Brownell was done - now we are really stuck aren't we?

In Radakovich's defense, Hewitt was very successful.

He made five NCAA Tournaments, including their second appearance ever in the Final Four and first appearance in the championship game. While hindsight shows Radakovich's contract for Hewitt to be a mistake, it seemed like a good decision at the time to do whatever it took to keep Hewitt there.

It was offered to mainly stop him for bolting to the NBA.
