Lesser known commit with a great season

Dec 19, 2015, 9:48 PM

I used to coach at this school and coach friends tell me he is a "Boulware" type of player with a reckless abandon on defense...also leading punter in the Region.

If he's really a good punter he might skip a redshirt***

Northgate High is just a few miles from my home, and the kids in my area attend school there. I had hoped to attend some games this year and see Jamie Skalski play, but I didn't get to attend any. I hear good things about him, both as a player and a person. Lots of Clemson people in this area of west Georgia.

I lived in Newnan for a short while, and even though it's in the middle of nowhere, it's a really nice place! I didn't know about Skalksi 2 years ago, sadly lol...I'm glad he's a TIGER!

Congrats to Jamie!

Let's hope and pray he doesn't have any "I can run for a touchdown in a championship game" fantasies... My heart can't take another one of those!

Continuing to re-load!!

Concerning Linebackers:

Yes it would be nice to land the likes of "Rashaun Smith". Kids an obvious beast. However, having Brent Venables on board is quite awesome because his first love is "LB".

He has an eye for talent that goes overlooked by other coaches.

Bodes very well for our future LB core.

Go Tigers!!

Holy Guacamole !

"After leading the team in tackles with 168 tackles, including 31 for a loss, three caused fumbles and two fumble recoveries, Skalski was named Region 4A-AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.".

Ya think? Holy cow, this kid is a monster.

Welcome to Clemson Mr. Skalski sir! :)
