one and a half twists from a 10 meter platform, who cares whether he makes a splash? Isn't the first objective to not get killed by not landing on your back?

Did Eddie Eagle (British Olympic Ski Jumper) care if he had to flap his arms while in the air after jumping off the 90 meter hill? He was trying to land on his skis .... and often did .... and not break his neck!
