If UGAG, Bammer, and ND all lose this weekend

Nov 8, 2017, 8:15 AM

and Clemson hammers the Noles ...

Does ESPN curl up in the corner and wait for the boogey man to go away ?

Asking for my friend, the boogey man.

Georgia loses by 10 everyone else wins

Why would ESPN do that? Kirk Herbstreit, an ESPN

Nov 8, 2017, 8:21 AM

employee, thinks we're the best team in the country (when healthy).

There's something in these hills.

Ok..

Nov 8, 2017, 11:52 AM

Kirk "alabama us the best team by eye test"
Kirk " clemson is the best team if healthy"
Kirk "uga meets the eye test and has a better resume than bama"
Kirk "ND is physical and will have best resume"
Kirk "Oklahoma has best player in football and the best win"
Kirk "Ohio st is the best if the above lose"
Kirk "I love Miami"

Why do you listen to this yes man.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

A 1 loss Alabama will stay in the top 4.

Nov 8, 2017, 8:29 AM

Wisconsin would be 1, Clemson 2, Oklahoma 3, Alabama 4. That's 2 cents.

Remember Miami would still be undefeated and just beat ND***

Yes they would, which would be perfect for when the Tigers beat the U in Charlotte. Miami would probably jump to #3, if UGA and Alabama win. With a Tiger victory in ACC Championship, would probably end up at least #2 if not #1!

If Miami beats ND, I would rank Miami higher than CLEMSON since ND beat NCSU worse than we did. I know it's not transitive, but being undefeated puts them above us IMO.

Also, I would drop ND like a rock, never to be heard from again this year.

That said, I'm not sure Miami can beat ND even at home. I think ND wins and stays relevant (even though they will not have to play in a championship game, which should eliminate them from consideration IMO).

no way miami jumps us

Nov 8, 2017, 8:45 AM

They dont have 3 top 15 wins in one month nor 4 top 20 wins at all. Our 1 loss in the committees mind was because our star QB was hurt. they pretty much are negating that the loss to cuse even happened. If said outcome happens me thinks we #1 for sure.

If Miami beats #3 ND

Nov 8, 2017, 12:48 PM

I'm afraid they would jump us. At least until we beat them in the ACC Championship.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That may happen.

Nov 8, 2017, 1:13 PM

The idea that you can compare two teams by thinking 'If they played each other who do I think would win the game,' doesn't come into play until the final ranking are being created. Our SOS to date is better but the ND game would give UM quite a boost making that metric comparable.

I also think the POC's attitude is 'This will work itself out next week.' I doubt they stress much over two teams who meet later in the season.

Transitive?

Nov 8, 2017, 1:05 PM [ in reply to Re: If UGAG, Bammer, and ND all lose this weekend ]

Those game were far from equal. NCS went to South Bend, Clemson went to Raleigh. That alone makes the games different. The rain played a big part of the NCS/ND matchup too.

I have a hard time believing we'll stay in the top after this weekend even with a win. More than likely they'll make the OK-TCU winner jump us. It would take one or even 2 of the top 3 to lose and Miami may jump us if they beat ND. I still think it'll play itself out if we win out, I want Miami to stay undefeated until the ACC Title game, that's pretty much an automatic bid for the winner right there.

Ranking after this week:
1 Bama
2 ND
3 TCU
4 Clem

Final Rankings:
1 Bama
2 Clem
3 TCU
4 ND

Clemson 27 Bama 24 NCG

ND will crush Miami. Alabama will win by 2 TDS. Georgia will lose.

Have you watched ND play?

ND's passing game is mediocre at best.

I believe Mark Richt will use UM's talent to make the win through the air.

ND will win by +14 over the 'Canes

Nov 8, 2017, 1:28 PM

Yes, ive watched ND. Even went to a couple of games (I live 30 min away).

This is a very solid team and Wimbush gets better as a passer each week.

So maybe a bit biased as I have a daughter in grad school there, but this is a better team team than Miami.

And I hope I am 100% wrong as well.

Re: If UGAG, Bammer, and ND all lose this weekend

Nov 8, 2017, 9:25 AM

1. We need to pull for the barn to beat UGA and lose to Bama, then Bama win the SEC. guarantees a 2 loss dawg team is out.

2. We need to pull for da U to beat ND and then win out to ACCCG. Guarantees a 2 loss ND is out.

Then it doesn’t matter about the TCU/OU winner winning the Conf with only 1 loss or Wisconsin remaining undefeated.

Tigers win out they are likely #2 and no worse than #3 any way you put it.

I would t hold my breath on the top 3 teams losing the same weekend.

UGA will handle Auburn with ease, Bama stomps MSU, I think we get the undefeated SEC championship.

Don't care about Notre Dame
