If Trevor Lawrence was our Qb against Alabama.....

We would have won. Let me explain my reason why before I get blasted. Yes I know the offensive line got destroyed the entire game. But Trevor Lawrence has a faster release and more zip on the ball then Kelly Bryant. Trevor Lawrence can throw on the run better then Kelly Bryant as well. So therefore I really believe because of a faster release and a more accurate ball We would have won the game with Trevor Lawrence. It’s ok though Trevor Lawrence will get his chance soon enough!

Isn't there an age limit for joining this board? This is one of the reasons I hesitated so long to actually participate. We look goofy to the rest of the intelligent football world. Conspiracies, what ifs, counterfactuals, PAC 12 refs, pic plays, if only DW were here, if we had scored 50 we'd have won by 26. This is all just idiotic.

So TL would have made the o-line better? TL would have made Cain catch that ball? TL would have gotten some of the calls to go our way? TL would have made our team more prepared for that turf?

DW did all those things against Bama with a worse line and better Bama Defense (and with Williams, Leggett targets and Gallman blocking) ... still believe DW would have found a way to compete if not win!

Then TL would have been getting hit like KB as the OLine practiced being professional Matadors, and our play calling played into the strengths of the Alabama D. KB’s biggest misses were in misreading the DE on the zone reads. The two INTs were not on KB!!! If Anchrum just gets a finger on the Alabama DE, then we probably have a big completion over the middle instead of the momentum stealing INT. Unless TL is able to block opposing DLines while throwing downfield, I don’t see any different outcome in Bama part III.

Um dropping back 10 yards from LOS as kb did on first int was kind of an issue as well. Can't ask your line and ETN to bail you out if you're playing in to bama's hands on that play.

Did you not watch the Army AS game? Until the last drive what did TL do??? He had zero blocking. That was the case against Bama.

One reason the OL had so much difficulty is because of our failure to stretch the field,the QB,coaches,OL ,WR all kept them at the point of attack the entire night.

everything we know and have seen about Trevor has come from his playing against high school players.
As such, we think he'll be a great college player, but we can't assume that until we see him against college players.
Until then, it's just speculation.

One thing is certain
KB could never beat Bama
If he could be counted on to stay in the pocket and make the throws, they would have called more plays.
Here is another fact
During the game against Bama, there was never a time where he was a pass threat.
