If Saban left Bama...
Dec 6, 2013, 12:58 PM
|
|
A few reports are saying (per WCCP earlier today and yesterday) that Brown will be out, and that Saban will accept a crazy amount of money to head to Austin.
First off, unreal that Bama may not be his final destination. That will be humbling for Bama nation.
Second, who in the world do you go after if you are Bama? Who do you replace Saban with? I cannot imagine that going well for Bama. If this comes out before bowl, could help Bama's opponent, (i.e. us).

I know you are so happy to have the reason to bash the football program. Crawl back under your rock.

A Bear Bryant clone.
Cub Bryant is only 12 yrs old now but the Bama fans are confortable with that.

Do you think the opportunity to rebuild Texas

would be appealing with the continual pressure at Bama? Losing McCarron among others, not that they can't reload, but I wonder if the appeal of the change would get him. Not hard to rebuild Texas with all the resources

Saban isn't leaving IF you believe what he said on...

...60 minutes. According to him, he really regrets lying about not wanting the Bama job. He said it reflected negatively on his integrity and he wishes he hadn't lied about it. Personally, I think he's learned from that situation. I don't see him doing it again... But I guess you never know.

Nick is the entire brains behind that operation. He wins no matter who is around him. The other guys might be decent coaches, but i don't think they are anywhere near his level.

I think it is possible that Brown may be out, but I can't believe Texas would push him. With Saban's financial situation, he can do anything he wants to for any reason. The only one I can think of is "a new challenge". At his age, why would he need that. I think all this is just idle speculation.
