If Louisville beats Auburn

Shouldn't that mean we will be facing the #6 team in the country. That's how it works right? The winning team moves up in the polls to where the losing team was and the losing team drops 2 spots. Or is that a special rule they only use when 2 SEC teams play each other?

You're close, but really AU would just drop to 7th and then UofL would be placed 10th even though they won on the field because ACC < SEC no matter who wins.
The ACC is the weakest power 5 conference in the history of college football. You should know that by now because all the writers say so. Do you even internet, bro?

It's more complicated, but I'll try:
Well, Louisville is pretty good, and Allbarn is $SEC, so if Auburn loses to Louisville, Auburn moves up to #6 and Louisville will get to replace Boise or GT at like #16 or #24.
If Auburn wins, Louisville is considered amazing, and still replaces GT or Boise, 'cuz they got the $EC on 'em. Meanwhile, Auburn rockets up to #4 over Baylor (can't pass Rowl Tahd).
Another thing in the rulebook is if an $EC beats Bama at any point, they're ranked #1 or #2, and remain highly ranked the following year, no matter how crappy they actually are (see Miss, Ole and Cacks, Game).
If a non-$EC, non-power 5 team stomps a mudhole out of Bama in a BCS bowl, that "mid-major" is ignored as much as possible forever (see Utes, Utah).
The $EC has lots of special magic see.

So, if AU loses by less than 22 points they'll actually go up in the polls. It shows that despite not really caring about a weak non-SEC team (because if you're not in the SEC you're obviously weak) they were able to "keep it close" by nonchalant standards.
End result is that AU would go up a notch and Louisville will go down 5 spots.

No if Louisville wins then Auburn will plummet because they lost a game to the lowly ACC. Cards might break the top 25. Auburns season will basically be over.

If the Redbirds beat Allbarn , the universe will implode . It will be too early in the season for the SECites to clamor " didn't want to bee there " and it will be a time of mourning on the plains ....as they continue their recent string of succumbing to the "lowly" ACC .
It would be awesome though , very sweetly awesome .
