Currently there are 80+ teams bowl eligible. Not to mention a couple teams with 1 game left. With 12 teams from the SEC eligible and only 11 tie-ins it looks like someone could be left out. I know it is unlikely but Tenn, SCar, and Arky are all on the edge.

Did you subtract all the teams who moved up to D1 in the past two years?

They have to wait until their third season to become bowl eligible, unless there is a waiver.

I believe that is only 4 schools in the last two years. 3 of them are eligible so that opens up a few spots but still close to 80 schools.

With Bama going to the playoffs, no one is left out. But if Bama losses it means someone might be left out.
