Hopefully zero but seeing how 130 k have died around the world already and less than 30 under the age of 25 is among that group. Astronomically low... I haven't heard whether or not one was a prominent athelete.
If I'm following you, are you asking from the standpoint of how dangerous it would be to play sports?

If that's where in fact you're going, then much better chance of a heat stroke or car accident etc.

Yes, they might not die, but would be spreading the virus all over while out there playing sports.

As you probably have read, a lot of recovered young people,even from relatively mild illness, are having reduced respiratory function. True, no evidence how long this lasts yet and there are other worries like possible heart problems- time will tell I guess.

We have had only a single case in Assisted Living at our Retirement Community in Cary,NC. She has recovered and has had two negative tests. And now here is the kicker: She is 101 years old. Now how is that for toughness?

Unless you are that athlete or a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, husband or wife of an 18-25 year old athlete the question is not important and that will have no bearing on whether schools reopen.

This isn’t about which age group dies and it never has been. It’s all about trying to contain the disease and not allowing it to spread like wildfire. NO hospital can allow an ever increasing number of patients with a staff that is already to small.
