Threepeat CWS For USC South

If USuc, whom I am hoping wins the CWS as I'd rather the trophy be in SC than in Az., wins the CWS for the third consecutive time, it will be the first time in 40 years that a team has done it. Last team to win three consecutive CWS was USC when they went on to win 5 straight from 1970-1974. So, if USuc does win three straight, it will be not only a big deal, but a huge deal. Odds are against them.
SC winning puts pressure on making our program better. That is always a good thing.

without hesitation that S.Carolina winning a third straight championship would without question be a horrendous, and I do mean HORRENDOUS occurrence. How you can live in the midlands, as your profile indicates, and actually want them to win is truly beyond me, but I mean no offense personally.
Having said that, I expect them to win, and at this point why shouldn't I?

As an American who had a nephew killed by an IED in Afganistan, I find this remark offensive and insensitive. The Taliban want to kill all Americans whether they are Tigers, Gamecocks, or any other sports team.

Except that college baseball is NOT a huge deal nationally. I know we love it, but it's a drop in the sports bucket.

Who cares if it is not big nationally? It is still an NCAA sport, if it were the national church basketball championship you would still be proud to win it. Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due.

Ask Virginia about 30 years of losing or the Tiger Bball team about winning at UNC and see what response you get. The fact is, they have been better than us and until we get back to that level we should appreciate the run they have had and seek it for ourselves. There are a lot of kids on that team from SC and several from right around Clemson. I too hope that they do well and represent our state in the same fashion that the Tigers would in that position. But, they better enjoy it now because the Tigers are coming......
