Confident Clemson defense takes aim at dynamic Virginia QB

Senior safety K’Von Wallace told the media Monday that Clemson is the best team in the country and defensive coordinator Brent Venables like the confidence shown by the Virginia native. For the Tigers to prove they are indeed the nation’s best team, they have to get past Virginia in this weekend’s ACC Championship Game in Charlotte. Full Story »

That QB taking off running on a pass play seems to be how they get a lot of their yards. Put Simmons on scramble patrol and he'll take care of that.

Yep. Blitz Simmons less and give him the QB responsibility. If Simmons keeps Perkins in front of him, I think the rest handles itself.

figure out what defense to run.

Having Simmons spy every play makes offensive play calling easier and opens big holes elsewhere for UVA to exploit.

The big part of our defense this year has been multiple formations and keeping offenses guessing.
