If we're trying to win the regional, we hold Gossett until Saturday. If we pitch him today and win, we can expect to be embarrassed again tomorrow. If we pitch him today and lose, we shouldn't have been in the field of 64 and Jack should resign on the spot!

But start him and he's done for the balance - couldn't go on a day rest even if a W on Sunday.
Would have been wiser to start him yesterday so he could go again on Monday if needed.
