Yeah, I would like to hear that too. He was loved by us.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I;m sure he was

Jun 8, 2011, 3:41 PM

but I am just saying there were several things I heard. And this was just in the 4 games I attended this year.

I have attended more games than I can possibly count.....

Jun 8, 2011, 4:20 PM

over the last four years and I cna honestly say that I have never heard anything even remotely close that what you are suggesting. I can also tell you that had that actually occured, any number of Tiger fans including myself would have put a stop to it d@mn quick.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

As would his teammates. As would Jack Leggett. Take your BS somewhere else.

oh I've heard some things in the crowd

Jun 8, 2011, 3:39 PM [ in reply to Re: Hopefully he can be more accepted in Houston than he was ]

For one, there was a running joke somewhere in the crowd that whenever Epps got on base, a couple of fans would raise their fist like the black power sign.

Also I have heard things like "He's not that fast, I don't think he was worth it" Worth what eh?

I also once heard an older man openly curisng him for his color.(I won't fault him because of teh generation gap)

Do you hear these same things in football? Basketball? Never

Been around and never saw or heard those things. Maybe you are right but your opinion on this and all your other posts seem to be slanted toward the state capital.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I call BS on that.....

Jun 8, 2011, 5:08 PM [ in reply to oh I've heard some things in the crowd ]

even if it did happen, someone would have spoken up and said something to someone being that racist. And if you were a man, you would have spoken up.

That post sures sounds like someone who wears feathers.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I actually did see the black power thing.

Jun 8, 2011, 5:28 PM

but it was not a "group" of fans. It was 2 fans and it was done once. After Epps got another hit one of the fans tried again, but the other did not recipricate the 2nd time.

I wonder how he will do?

Jun 8, 2011, 3:44 PM

He has some speed and he can hit for sneaky power when he gets the right pitch

Re: I wonder how he will do?

Jun 8, 2011, 3:45 PM

Needs to work on his plate discipline.. Chases pitches

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

but that plays into his style. He gulfs low ones***
