on a failed squeeze play to end the game.
Wut? I thought the "Fire Jack" crowd would agree that losing a game because of aggressive base running should lead to one's immediate termination.

Losing record two years ago but why actually know anything about college baseball before you comment on it. In seven years coaching he already has one losing season. Jack must do worse than that since he's the guy almost everyone wants to replace him with. Oh wait, 21 years without a losing record at Clemson. I'm sure whoever we replace him with will do great though. Really excited to find out who the Ken Hatfield of college baseball is.

If you had any critical think skills whatsoever it would

Illustrate quite clearly just how difficult it is to achieve the level and consistency of success that Jack Legget has. Even with all the resources of the University of Florida behind him, even after 3 consecutive CWS seasons - Florida had a LOSING record two years ago. Something that has never happened at Clemson under Jack. Florida hasn't made it past a regional in two years. If they do the same this year should he be on the hot seat? Look what's happening at USC. It's hard to win consistently at baseball. Do you really think Holbrook sucks or, when it's not your team, are you able to be objective and realize it's probably more about the cyclical nature of the sport. I guess we'll just continue to put our heads in the sand and pretend that the $30 million sunk into Carolina Stadium and all of its benefits have nothing to do with our recent struggles. It's all on Jack. Fire Jack!

I will work on my critical think skills...

If you don't notice a pattern of decline over the past 5+ years, you should work on your critical think skills.
Tell me when to we come out of this decline? How long do we wait? Look at the type of programs we are beginning to lose to on a regular basis.
Our record gets worse every year and we are barely treading water over .500 with a schedule that is not all that difficult thus far.
I certainly understand baseball and we are become increasingly a nonfactor in the NCAA.

Arghh. I typed up a long response and my iPad swallowed it. So, short answer is I don't know. This baseball ops center should have been greenlit the minute Carolina Stadium was approved. We're a full decade behind our biggest rival and the team that has the most direct effect on our recruiting. I don't understand the glee so many of you have in bashing Jack and this team. Circumstances are most likely going to force him out after this season. I think a coach with his proven track record should have had the benefit of working with those new facilities. But this should have been years ago. Instead, the paltry amount of money spent on baseball has been spent on chair backs and grandstands - things which have no impact on recruiting. At this point, if they let him coach next year, it's a lame duck season and the new facilities are meaningless. So I don't know. Clemson has gone and f'd itself pretty good on this one. But, as upsetting as it is to me and some of you, the atheletic department probably doesn't give a sh*t. Even after all their success, South Carolina had never even broken even on baseball. They'll make a coaching change not out of any desire to win but to quell a critical mass of emails and phone calls that are a nuisance to them. If we go out and grab a head coach from a Power 5 conference school I'll probably be happy with the change. But can you tell me when that has happened for any sport at Clemson?

baserunners on the paths.
You can call it 'Aggressive' all you like,
but when you're in a 1 run game and you get someone thrown out at home as the first out of the inning trying to go from 1st to home,
then someone needs to be more aggressive with your Meds.
