If the law is such a bad thing to cause the powers that be to move the championship game out of Charlotte, why are the ACC schools allowed to play home games at Duke, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Wake Forest?

They are on foundations...it would be an engineering nightmare . The permits alone would be staggering .

Let's hope the ACC presidents have realized that was an awful move and will not make it again.

Is there not another stadium in Ga,SC,or NC that would be more centrally located to use for the ACC Championship?

for the ACC. I dont care if it was because NC said men had to use men batrooms... or if it was coming from the other side and NC legalized same sex marriage. If the ACC removed the ACCCG because of that I would think it is jsut as stupid as it was for removing for this law.

Driving to Orlando was a H&ll of a drive. It was tough at age 64, and it will be just as tough at 65, and I won't be making that one again. Once was more than enough for me!!!

Orlando is too far for everyone except Miami and FSU. If it has to be in Florida, I'd rather it be in Jacksonville at least. However, Charlotte is far and away the best choice (unless the SEC moves out of Atlanta - don't hold your breath!). Washington, DC would be ok, but colder.

They do 2 Kickoff Classics in Atlanta every year, and seems like the ACC Championship was played on Friday Night at first. So a Friday/Saturday?

We are 2 hours from Atlanta. Schedule the coots for noon, turn in early on Saturday night and start the week's process on Sunday. It would give us a slight advantage over everyone except GT.

Have you ever been to Darlington??
That would be a terrible experience for the fans field would be very far away. Bristol is a much smaller track than Darlington and even it was a bad view in person.

Yep, watched two races there. I think if people could stand the view at Bristol(which has dreadful stands, at least 10 years ago it did, they could do Darlington even though it is a bigger track.

difficult than the new Gov realized.
I think the legislators should decide what they feel is right and do it...and not let the ACC or NCAA (or anyone else) pressure them into anything.

They should... since there are dozens of ACC affiliated football games in NC, it was kind of dumb to move one out and not the rest of them. Agree or disagree with the reason, It was just a PR move... not a principled stand.

The federal executive order by Obama

that made the reversal of HB2 laws the rule was tossed out by the new admin leaving it to the states to regulate bathrooms if they so choose.
If we carry this to its logical absurdity , it means the Super Bowl the NBA all star game the ACC game and the Final 4 will need to be moved from the USA if we use their logic......Mexico City here we come....Arriba!!
