I'm just not sold on the fact that you should dig a hole and then score all your points in one ending.
Why not spread these points out a little more? Just seems like a weird strategy that has a chance of backfiring if we're not careful.
But he gets paid a lot of money to make these decisions, and it seems to be working out OK. Just a thought I had this morning.

early non conference game. Test out your pitchers and see if your players can hit their way out. Not saying he is trying to lose because I don't think he is but now is the perfect time to test each player and your team as a whole. It will pay dividends later.

Monte has done a good job here so far , we won the ACC and have hosted 2 regionals.
But it’s getting to the point that just hosting a regional is not enough.
It’s still early this season but I still haven’t seen a team that I believe can make it to the CWS.
It’s been 8 years going on 9 since we have even won a regional.

I get your point, but it's runs. Remember it's not really baseball weather yet. Playing in 40° weather is tuff. With that being said he might have to put a foot up a couple of players b u t t s. So let's see how it pans out before making a early decision.

That is just baseball. I mean what would you do.. "Okay we have scored 6 runs this inning, lets go ahead and strike out on purpose and leave these guys on base... we need to save some run scoring for other innings"
There are games where a team scores 3 in the first inning then never gets on base again and they win. Baseball is funny and that is why we love it... you never know how it will happen or when a cold streak will break and your bats will light up. It only takes one hit to get going sometimes.
