Reagan said it best when he stated that no civilian has a need for high capacity weaponry. Make it a felony to possess one without licensing and registration, part of which will require liability insurance for weapons owned.

In all seriousness, I do fear a society where only criminals and the law have the weapons. One where the rest of us are lead around by armed drones and have to stay in our sections.

There cannot be freedom and 100% safety from things like this. You’re not gonna stop a wife beater from beating his wife, at least not the first time, and you’re not going to stop a lunatic from murdering a bunch of people. Timothy McVeigh used zero guns to kill 168 people. Guns are not the problem. Crazy ############# are the problem. There seems to be more of those these days. The question is why? I think it has to do with overmedication as well as the entitlement and values, or lack thereof, that a lot of people seem to have right now. I also think that the pussification of boys isn’t helping. Whenever something like this happens, look at their medications, their home life, and their parents. The American family is not what it once was. And some people are just nuts.

the number of shots per minute are a nuance.
i may have exercised hyperbole. i dont know how many they can shoot honestly.
i just know that the thing in Vegas was a BUNCH in a matter of 30 seconds.
hundreds in minutes. right?
what if it is ONLY 30 per minute? come on. when do you need to shoot that many deer?
respectfully, i dont know what the answer is. but if someone wants weapons like that, i feel like there is something a little off with them. a few screws are loose in there.
it may not be popular and i stand ready to be mocked and castigated. but anyone that wants that kind of crap is the type of person that is on the edge of wanting to use it in that type of scenario.
