I think this is the year ...

Apr 18, 2018, 10:06 AM

The coots start talking about replacing Muscoot with Jim McElwain.

Probably October-ish.

Makes perfect sense to them I guess. The idle speculation will become out straight out demands to Tanner come late November.

Become a virtue of theirs? What's the date of their first game? I'd go with sometime in the second half of that match-up! ;)

As much as it pains me this year should be pretty good for the coots. Their schedule sets up pretty easy. I see them losing to the leg humpers at home, Florida at the Swamp, and us in the only Death Valley. Kentucky is goind to be a tossup seeing as they are playing at Kentucky. So 8 and 4 will his job for another season but Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Florida is about to pass them up so next year should be very interesting. Probably only 6-6 at best leaving him in the hot seat. Keep the streak going. Go Tigers

Sorry to disagree but I think that this year...

will actually be harder for the Coots. The perfect storm that was last year, three teams; Arkansas. Florida, and Tennessee, giving up on the season and playing out the string, a Missouri that hadn't jelled yet, and a Vandy still in shell-shock from an Alabama but-whipping, is over and gone. I don't think we'll see those gimmes again this year.

Sounds like another bust to me.

I give it 3 or 4 more years. Right now they think they are world beaters with their record for the last 2 years. They brag about his rebuilding, recruiting and program direction. Of course we know the other side of the story with their schedules both past and future and recruiting Clemson leftovers.

When they hired muskrat, I told coot acquaintances that he would get them to the 6-7-8 win category. IMHO that is enough to keep his job for a long time until the big boosters get tired of the Clemson dominance and success.
