I think this # will certainly increase after this year...

Pretty sure Scott and Elliot are inline for some big raises. They are at least much deserved after offenses success after Morris's departure.

Clemson assistant coaches

Offensive coordinators will and deserve a hefty raise . but Watson is helping them look great in their first season. But with that being said. They did wonders with Cole stout in the bowl game. They really do a good job finding the plays to make the QB successful.

Great point about how they made Stoudt look the best he ever looked in the bowl game a year ago! I had all but forgotten who the Clemson QB was in that game. The transformation was unbelievable - it was like Stoudt walked into a phone booth as Will Proctor, and came out as Deshaun Watson...

One question?

Dec 10, 2015, 9:33 AM

Why does Scott make more? Elliott calls all the pass plays? Has he been there longer? Does he have added responsibility? Is it because his dads in the front office? I think he has been there longer then Elliott. Just wondering?

Probably based on other duties (i.e. recruiting etc).

uhh yeah, he is our best recruiter.

His recruiting responsibilities might be the only reason he got the co-coordinator position. He has however now earned it and both will be at minimum doubling their salaries in the off season.

That's right he's recruiting coordinator. I knew that. Brain fart. But yes I agree they'll make a large jump. Which 400,000 is a nice chunk too.

I may be wrong, but I'd be surprised if they both double their salaries. Maybe bumped to the $650-700k range, but $850k each is a lot of cash for second year co-coordinators.

I never really thought about how raises would work if they were successful. As I recall, CM was making around $1.3mil and was one of the highest paid assistants in the country. If they each make $650 (which isn't that high really for a NC contender's OC), we'll be back at that $1.3mil.
Not to mention if they do both double their salaries, we'll be pushing $1.7mil. That's a lot of money to be paying your OC.

I guess like was mentioned, CJS is also our Recruiting Coordinator (and a #### good one at that). I suppose they're worth the money. Especially if they get us a National Championship.

I just wonder what all he buys with that extra $747 (pre-taxes)! Elliott's gotta be pi$$ed!
