What if Minnesota runs the table

Nov 10, 2019, 9:09 AM

What if Minnesota runs the table against that murder’s row of ranked teams #4 Penn St, #18 Iowa, #13 Wisconsin to finish 12-0, but alas loses to Ohio State in an epic game of the century conference championship 46-41? Does that 12-1 Minnesota team get in the CFP above an 11-1 non-conference champion Alabama?

They probably lose one of the next 2 weeks

Minnesota has proven itself to be a notch above Penn St who the CFP committee identified as being a notch better than Clemson. How can they possibly lose?

No, imo

I think it would be more interesting if it were the other way

13-0 Minnesota and 12-1 Ohio St that loses to them in the conference title game. Ohio state would certainly have a better case than Bama.

What we don't want is Georgia beating LSU in the SECCG and having 12-1 LSU sitting there.

If Ohio State were to lose the BIG championship game, they would have a sternly worded letter stating their case to the committee. But the SEC cash would be >>> BIG cash, and Ohio State will stay home and write even more letters.

Great question! No, unfortunately, do I believe

Nov 10, 2019, 9:19 AM

they would.

The overwhelming drivel will be Bama's "near miss" versus LSU, coupled with their history...the latter of which was IMO one of the main reasons for their initial ranking at #3.

they win all of their boat races and Alabama’s dumpster catches on fire.

(Did I do that correctly?)
