You're also taught to always slide in a close play. If Greene goes in sliding that doesn't happen. Little league stuff.

But I agree, the is still an idiot. He was literallyb2 feet away. How do you miss that?

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Maybe in tball but this is a high level of baseball where they are taught and are skilled enough to slide or touch different corners of the bases in order to avoid tags.

another dead give away that he touched the plate is that Greene was looking at his foot when he touched the plate. If he had any doubt he would have turned around and touch it
