I think the Willie Taggart hire at FSU has placed them as a huge disadvantage in recruiting against Dabo, Dan Mullen and Mark Richt. He just doesn't have the cred these other guys have.

There really is no other team in the ACC with maybe the exception of an emerging Miami program that appears to be in a spot to compete consistently against us.

I think Jimbo saw the writing on the Wall that FSU was about to take a backslide. They have been sliding back since Winston left. The Louisville blowout, the inability to shore up the O-line and the lack of ability to snag a "great" QB has led to FSU sliding.

Heck, Hunter Johnson, Trevor Lawrence and Kelly Bryant would all start at FSU day one and they really have noting special at QB. Frenchy is nothing much than cannon fodder or perhaps target practice on defenses perfecting their sacking techniques.

Clemson should be cruising to the ACCCG for the next several years as we are the "Alabama" of the ACC.

Taggert is a top recruiter with strong Florida ties. 2 of his assistants made the top #25 for recruiter of the year this season. Last year his OC-Cristobal was #6.

Don't underestimate this hire.

I think Clemson's main competition for ACC supremacy going forward will be Miami. I think Richt is another 1 to 2 years away from having a full roster to compete with Clemson.

Richt, IMO, is not a great coach. But he's good enough, along with the South Florida recruiting area, to become a strong 2nd in the ACC and occasionally beat Clemson.

But for now, you guys are head and shoulders above the rest of the conference.
