I think Herbstreit is right

Jan 2, 2014, 4:35 PM

We win in a shootout. Although, I'm about 51% confident in that.

Ohio state doesn't have the athletic defense of an FSU or, to a lesser extent, SCAR, to be able to play press-man on the outside and bring in their safeties. If they try that, they'll get beat deep. If they don't try that, they'll get eaten up by our speed and our lateral movement.

A team like FSU or Alabama has the athletes to shut our offense down, but a team like OSU doesn't, in my opinion.

If we play up to our potential, which we have done about

I agree with your observations but would only add that we must call the plays that they are "giving" us.

A good sign that a former Ohio State QB picked us over his alma mater.

Time of possession should be a HUGE factor in this game, considering the two offensive styles.

Establish a running game and stick to it, keep the pressure off Boyd and make sure your spy actually does his job with this QB.

I will be very surprised if their defense can stop your offense. I thought that before the suspension and injury; now it's even more true.

Depends on how stubborn Chad Morris is with playcalling

Jan 2, 2014, 6:24 PM

Remember back in 2006 at Music City Bowl and Kentucky was like #111 in run defense and Browning, Coleman & Merriwether got about 5 carries each and Tigers lost 28-20. The coaches were determined to see Whitehurst throw the ball. Of course, that was wacko Rob Spence running the offense, but The Chad can be just as frustrating with his calls...most fans can predict his thoughts. I hope to see a complete balance in the offense with everybody getting involved & not just Tajh running keepers. I'm calling it 45-35 TIGERS.

Even worse, they were determined to see proctor throw it

Whitehurst was gone
