Re: Who replaces TDP? Is Barker retiring as I have heard

Aug 7, 2012, 4:42 PM

Agreed.

I think Clemson University would do well for itself if they made some positive changes in the athletic department. (starting at the top)

I would prefer someone outside of the University, so they bring a fresh perspective to the job.

I've seen her with Dabo recently, she's a Clemson Alum. & she will have some good leadership experience on her resume.

I don't know that she would be the best option, (at the end of the day) but I would put her on my short list if it were my decision to make...

program outside of the ACC that has an emphasis on football. The expansion thing isn't over yet and having someone with a broader range of experience and perspective will be a huge asset for us over the next decade. Would love to promote from within but I'm thinking we ought to go this route considering the monumental changes affecting the college landscape.

Agreed! I am flying the Bobby flag HIGH. I know he retired suddenly from Vandy, so I'm not sure if he considers himself permanently 'retired', but I think its only prudent to approach him with an offer...I cannot make a better case for ANYONE.
