he would get the program turned around and headed back in the right direction.

The ACC is without exception or question second to none as it pertains to collegiate soccer so the road ahead will not be an easy one but it is good to see consistent and significant improvement under Noonan's leadership.

Clemson and Ib basically invented ACC soccer ...

Clemson soccer was a club sport when I started school in the late 60s and by the early 70s was a national power.

Up to that point, there had only been Maryland that took it seriously in the ACC and once Clemson got on a roll, they ruled the conference.

Duke, UVA, UNC, Wake, NCSU, etc. (and SCAR) are all "Johnny Come Lately" to the party.
