time!! Opened the door yesterday and the house reeked with burned popcorn. She called not long after I started lighting candles and spraying some air freshener.
The conversation went something like this.
"I guess you can tell I burned the popcorn again".
"momma, just because popcorn button says three minutes doesn't mean you have to leave it in that long".
"Oh!! So I can take it out when it quits popping?"
"I would appreciate it".

I think your mother just needs glasses, it clearly says to take it out once popping slows to 3-5 seconds. That is how I always know when it is done.

What pisses me off is when someone sets the timer for 5 minutes and only has the intention of running it 2 minutes and leaves 3 minutes on it without clearing it. This happens everyday at work. RUDE!

We had someone at work a while back who put extra minutes on the microwave, then got interrupted and failed to stop it with 2-3 minutes left. We could see and smell the smoke all the way down the hall, around the corner, and all the way down that hall too. And oh yeah, that was about an hour before the fire marshal showed up for our 5-year inspection.

I’ve heard there are websites where you can find a mom. Search criteria: hot mom popping popcorn or was it mom popping hot popcorn. Anyways google that. You’ll thank me later.
