I'm very happy with Dabo thank you, he seems to be doing a good job.
Whether Barnes could come back as a basketball coach, I have no idea, I find basketball incredibly dull and don't know anything about it.

From what I read on another post, Barnes left because of personal matters. Regardless he burned his bridges when he left.
In regards to Purnell, he jumped ship. Brownell hasn't which makes him a better man than Oliver,IMO.

I agree. I don't think CBB has had the option though. OP took the money at Depaul and ran. He was a disaster at Depaul though. Although, Depaul has been a disaster for the last 25 years even with or without him.

Barnes made some very disparaging remarks about the Clemson public education system when he left. He's an arrogant man who doesn't live up to the standard Clemson promotes. Good riddance to him!

I could be wrong but, didn't Brownell take the BB team to the Sweet 16 last year?
Does this mean if the first time the football team has a sub-.700 season you are going to be calling for Dabo's head?
Give'em a break, support'em, cheer for'em, get behind'em during the season. After the season, now, reflect on the full year then make a decision.

I’ve heard it and didn’t mean to strike a nerve but I just remember how exciting Clemson basketball was during his tenure. I’m sure some of you still remember “Buckner jams, Buckner jams” with our victory over UNC in the ACC tournament. Maybe it was just because I was a kid then, but that’s the excitement I remember of how Clemson Basketball SHOULD be !

He was building a solid program that was starting to attract better players.
