it looks like that their practices have a little more energy than ours. And I was actually impressed by our practice energy. But UGA's practice looked like some Roadhouse type, super-macho craziness shyte.
Again, I'm not criticizing our players or coaches at all, but I can't help but notice an intensity in this video that I do not see quite to the same crazy level in our practice videos.
I have no idea if that matters or not... but I feel like it does.

to the top before. He knows how to motivate the players and get them moving. I'm not saying Dabo doesn't, but rather that Georgia is an impressive team, which several on here seem to forget.

how amateur the coaches appeared, jumping around, trying to get on camera, dog piling, etc. The things Dabo haters nitpick on.

actual players involved in the drill. I thought our guys looked more intense in their drills. Georgia looked like guys that will get really tired once our tempo and the heat start to work on them.

with the black n white, to the ooooo & awwwwww of color.
i love these drills no matter the team, but there's a lot of guys disengaged in the background.
the video is courtesy of espn, so i get the production. as far as cu's production has come, i really wish we would downstage the beginning ad some & upgrade the intro to our practice pieces ala the hill vid this year.

This might be a dumb question

But couldn't you run two of these drills at one time and have less standing around watching? Have 1's on 1's and 2's on 2's. or do one side PAW drills and the other side W drills so you're working different position groups simultaneously?

Offense vs. Defense
Losers on the day get extra running at the end of practice.

Richt started implementing those sort of competition drills into practices about two years ago. See over the years, UGA practices had gotten to have less and less contact and more of the "Thud" type of drills, and the impact of that was a "soft" team in the '08 to '10 years. Richt finally got fed up and implemented "Bloody Tuesday" during the last half of the '10 season. It was a full contact, 1's vs. 1's day of outright who's gonna be the bigger man.
Richt has kept that idea and translated it into more full contact drills and added the competition aspect of it too. IMO, it really has shown a big difference on the field overall. Glad he went that way, and continues to do so.

They were trying too hard to be all intense.
Didn't seem genuine.
