I spent about one third of that for four years (1946-50). Oh for the good old days.

I had solid grades but my SAT was not 1400. I’m old but hearing some 1400 SATs would not get in today makes me feel really old. I blame it on our push to become a top 20 Univ. I liken my degree to one of the original investors of Microsoft or penny stocks turned into Birkshire Hathaway stocks!

By my freshman year in 1965, an applicant

Feb 12, 2018, 9:35 PM

had to have fairly decent SAT scores...usually 1100-1200 or better, and costs, as I recall, were about $1100 annually.

Lucky, lucky me that I won an Army ROTC scholarship, which not only paid my costs but gave me about $90 monthly for miscellaneous expenses. Add to that money I received for being a Hall Supervisor and honoraria funds for serving as Editor of "The Tiger," and I had it a lot easier than a lot of my friends at CU.

I believe out of state students' costs in '65 were $1600,not sure for in-staters.my first year was $1400,then $1600,$1800,and last was $2000.imagine $200 dollar increases.outrageous!feel sorry for today's kids.they're going to be indentured servants.

My 1st year, 68-69, was $1130. And I had in-state classmates
