"incentives" to be pure as the driven snow by choosing your school. So either
1) Gary has so high of ethics and morals that he immediately rebuffed anyone that didn't play by the rules (which would stand to reason that his high ethics would mean that his finalists DIDN'T offer "incentives" either)
or
2) Michigan outbid everyone else.
Either way you go, the AD looks like a dumbaz.

If anybody offered incentives, it would be Harbaugh. Swinney has more class than he'll ever have.
Dabo does not have to bring in a circus act to get the job done. One thing is for certain, We'll be just
fine without Gary.

I am not so naive that I don't recognize that offers of incentives happen. What I don't understand is why Hackett choose to sour this young man's choice to go to MI with a rumor and no proof. If I was Gary, I would be insulted that this man has indicated I was being swayed by an illegal incentive. I would be ready to transfer.
All I can say is that I have complete faith in the Clemson coaches that they would not do this.

Also, why would a top recruit go to a Michigan of all places when he could go to a school like App State which has a better program than Michigan ?
