Website on Mickey’s show on WCCP, talking about Clemson’s 2020 recruiting class. He was very positive Clemson will sign its best class in the Rivals era, that will be an amazing amount of talent to be better than the 2018 class. He was very sure we’d sign elite national level talent at WR, QB, DB, DE, TE, LB, RB, and DT, he didn’t say much about OL other than we’d sign good talent. He also said we’d only sign a RB in the 2019, and that Ealy is the one.
It is incredible the talent Clemson is now getting from across the nation. I think the 2020 team will be Coach Swinney’s deepest and most talent team ever, “the best is yet to come”.

He said that Clemson would likely take only one more for the current class and that would be one more RB. Said the staff wanted to take two RB in this class and there is a good chance that Ealy would be the one. Also spoke about a RB out of Charleston that wants to visit. Ealy more than likely will be the only player Clemson signs on February 6th.

He’s a backup plan at RB if Feaster decides to transfer/Ealy heads to the MLB. Ealy is ours, if he doesn’t choose baseball. As of now, Feaster is staying. If everything works out PERFECTLY, the running back would have 5 guys (ETN, Lyn-J, Feaster, Mellusi, and Ealy), the way Coach Elliot likes it. However, if Feaster transfers, taking Mikey Dukes would still give us 5. If Ealy goes to the MLB, Dukes would again give us 5. If both Feaster leaves and Ealy doesn’t come to Clemson, Dukes would be an asset at that point as a 4th guy.

If Dukes is a fallback then our recruiting has hit the big time button. Great athlete can play basketball as well.
