I have one comment to make about recruits:

Clemson Football staff should never ever beg or make more than 1 visit, phone call, text, tweet, facebook post, email or any type of smoke signals once a recruit sees Clemson in person.
Clemson sells itself...PERIOD.
If a kid does not love Clemson with every DNA fiber in their body then we do not need them. I don't care if they have 6 legs, rated 10 stars and can run a 40 in 1 second flat.
I want guys that love Clemson and "get it" to play in Death Valley....

a bunch of 2 or 3 star types. Maybe one will turn out every once in a while. Look, while I agree with what you are saying, these guys have to recruit "talent" to stay employed. There is only so much "talent" to go around. If you aren't selling your program, you are in a bunch of trouble. All that being said, Clemson is a very special place and all you have to do is spend some time there to see that. But some of these kids aren't as heartfelt about it as we are.

I'm sure Bama fans say the same thing and they've got about 88 MNCs to back it up. But they send a crap load of materials to those they really want.

If he was on steroids, that would make him a coot recruit. Their team this year looked eerily like the one that only Navy beat that made the front page of SI.
