That Swofford wont keep his job very long. I just feel like he would have really hurt the ACC and really shouldnt keep it.

If Mickey's writer pal from Orangbloods.com is accurate -Texas (UT) asked to join the ACC when they were in turmoil last year. According to him - if the ACC had played it right - UT, OU & Ok St could have been in the ACC. They were iterested in joining the ACC

Swofford (ACC) said no thanks.

Are you kidding me ... if we had UT, OU, Ok St. & WVU - ACC would have been the ones talking with SEC.

No leadership - no vision in our leader ...

The truth is that Texas wanted to keep tier three rights for the longhorn network, but since Swoffie is so adamant on giving football tier three rights for footbal away in order to keep them for basketball he would not do it. Texas agreed to split earnings evenly except tier three. Which is what the ACC does now. The only difference is in the ACC tier three rights are for basketball only. Which means that unc and duke get to keep every penny made in their tournament earnings while Clemson has to split all football earnings (beside ticket sales) with every other school. Plain and simple Swoffie chose duke and unc over every other team!

I forgot to mention this is the new deal that the BigXII has currently. Plus the grant of rights.
