Dabo, please remove your ballcap for playing of our alma mater.
Thanks

You should've cleared this with the Mean Girls on the forum.

You know who they are.

They aren't going to like your post.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

and fast rule to remove your cap during the alma mater, it would be nice to see out of respect for what that song represents.

Bet your Ill-mannered self even wears one while eating out at a restaurant. One of my pet peeves. People have no respect or manners anymore,

Understanding the Alma Mater salute...

Dec 6, 2019, 5:04 PM

During Clemson’s early military days, freshmen wore rat caps and would take them off and wave them in the air during every football game including at the conclusion of the alma mater.

Today, at the conclusion of singing the alma mater, students, alumni and fans wave their hands in the air as though waiving a cap.

GWP is correct...while there is no hard and fast rule about removing your hat during the alma mater, doing so is absolutely a display of respect for what that song represents.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

i wear it until the end and then take it off to gently wave

Dec 6, 2019, 6:15 PM

Hat rule is:
Remove hat if playing in an indoor stadium.
It’s totally acceptable to wear a hat outside.

You are welcome.

Re: says who***

Dec 6, 2019, 6:48 PM

A gentleman should remove his hat as he enters a building, including a restaurant, home, classroom, theater, church. This rule includes baseball caps and casual hats. Hats are to be removed when inside, except for places that are akin to public streets, e.g., lobbies, corridors, and elevators in public buildings.

google is your friend

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that has nothing to do with wearing it during the alma mater

Dec 6, 2019, 7:33 PM
