Coots get $2.1m more from UA than we get from Nike

Dec 31, 2013, 3:59 PM

Clemson
Equipment: $600k
Cash: $400k

USC
Equipment: $2,050,000
Cash: $1,050,000

DRad needs to start renegotiating... this ain't going to cut it especially when we're trying to compete w/ the SEC money tree.

See what your university gets from Nike, Adidas or Under Armour (Database)

Re:Under Armour should pay more, that crap is ugly Yes it is

Dec 31, 2013, 4:29 PM

I dont even buy it (w Clemson logo & colors) for my personal needs because they are a coot sponsor. If I have any of it then it is something I was given

I hate Nike, I hate Oregon. I refuse to buy anything Nike,

Dec 31, 2013, 4:53 PM [ in reply to Under Armour should pay more, that crap is ugly.*** ]

not even as Christmas gifts for people who asked for Nike.

Our Agreement provides for annual increases in rights fees and product allowances. Rights fees (Cash) will be $1.2MM in a couple of years.

Our?

Dec 31, 2013, 4:55 PM

It's Spurrier's.

Re: Our?

Dec 31, 2013, 4:57 PM

The parties to the Agreement are Under Armor and The University of South Carolina. Spurrier would be a third-party beneficiary to the Agreement.

Because Spurrier is employed by the university

Dec 31, 2013, 5:07 PM

Spurrier gets more than half the cash.

Re: Because Spurrier is employed by the university

Dec 31, 2013, 5:13 PM

Much more than half during the first 4 years. So? No doubt his name got us the contract, but its still a pretty sweet contract for the University.

I feel like we get the shaft from Nike

Dec 31, 2013, 4:17 PM

This year Dabo had to convince them to hook us up with the Tiger paw palm gloves, while UGAy and other programs have had the stuff for years. Texas, OU, Bama, and others get special gear for bowl games, rivalry games, etc. They could throw us a few more bones. Texas had special cleats for the Alamo bowl, while to my knowledge we'll be in our standard stuff for the Orange Bowl. I feel like us going to Adidas or Under Armour would be nice because they outfit less teams and they can make us more of a priority. They didn't eff with Auburn's traditional uniforms, but hooked them up with sick gloves and equipment

i believe what you get comes from your equipment allowance, which we only have $600k to the Coots $2,050,000... it also notes that the Coots get equipment at wholesale pricing, which doubles what you can get in the regular market. hopefully, DRad ain't dumb enough to pay retail.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just make stuff up when you don't know what you are...

Dec 31, 2013, 4:23 PM [ in reply to I feel like we get the shaft from Nike ]

...talking about.

Good plan.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

Nike needs to pony up or we bolt.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Majority of that cash goes to Spurrier.

Dec 31, 2013, 4:44 PM

$750,000 this year. Part of the UA contract with Spurrier, not South Carolina.

Re: True...during the first four years.

Dec 31, 2013, 4:55 PM

Last two years of the Agreement, the University retains the product fees that last two years...totaling $2.3MM.

Over 6 years South Carolina gets 3 million of Spurrier's 6+million. 500,000 / yr.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Love the BCS bonus since the coots will never receive that.

Dec 31, 2013, 5:48 PM [ in reply to Re: True...during the first four years. ]

WHY would that even be part of the agreement?????

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We need Rocawear gear

Dec 31, 2013, 4:55 PM

D-Rad needs to holla at Jay-Z.

BASEBALL Ray.....BASEBALL

Dec 31, 2013, 9:23 PM

Our contracts with New Era and Russell probably effect how much Nike gives us.
