McCaffrey because he's white (and not in the $ec)

Watson because he's black (and not in the $ec)

Is this how ESPN starts the hype?

Aug 18, 2016, 3:54 PM

Christian McCaffrey for Heisman???

DW4 gets the shaft again.

Re: Is this how ESPN starts the hype?

I think the Heisman will be decided by who has the best year, who's on the better team, etc. But I do believe ESECPN has a lot to do with non-SEC players getting shafted. Last year, it was Derick Henry getting the hype. This year, it's Leonard "I'm still trying to get some yards against Alabama" Fournette receiving much praise.

Hard to believe that DW4 and Macafferey are being stereotyped when they both almost won Heisman's last year. Both were great and both did not win because there was an Alabama player on the ballot. Again, I think it's a case of ESECPN creating a false argument. If the LSU player has a so-so year, ESECPN will select another SEC player to lead the way- perhaps Chad "I can't keep my big trap shut" Kelly.

Funny, but we never heard any of this stuff last year.

I hate to say it though but McCaffery isn's running off

Aug 19, 2016, 1:33 AM

At the mouth about it...though! I'm a DW4 fan but so what if they say you can run fast and throw well..... I think he shouldn't have said anything about it....but now saying that how bad would the media looked upon McCaffrey if he had of said that they don't talk about me much because I a White guy playing a Black guy position.... It would have been an huge uproar with black athletes calling him a racist and an White Privilege......Maybe Steven A should be a spoke person for Black America his seems to be a good man and anything involving race please leave it the hell out of Football. Just like THE NFL RTARDS calling it the N*word for Lease......well you sorry ### punks they can lease my old ### any day for 90 million dollar contract like old honey badger got after failing drug testing......stop whinny and yes DW4 should have to up downs for making comments taking away from his team and team concepts.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think that is what DW4 meant...

Aug 19, 2016, 7:45 AM

I could be wrong, but I took it as: his "duel threat" label implies that he has to run first which opens up the passing game for him. I haven't been listening close enough to how the casters talk about him and how he plays...

He is a superstar at passing and running, aka "duel threat", but he is a pass first quarterback. One of the most accurate, if not THE most accurate, passers in the NCAA. His "duel threat" label distracts from how great of a passer he actually is. (Which is why Kayaa is getting more praise.)

Re: I don't think that is what DW4 meant...

Aug 19, 2016, 11:20 AM

My goodness, DW4 passed for over 4,000 yards last year and ran for over 1,000 yards. Sounds very much like he was primarily a pass oriented qb. That's why I can't understand why he would care about what any idiots out there say. His record speaks for itself. The same argument applies for the Stanford player. He was great at everything he did last year. No reason to be concerned about morons with bogus arguments.

What position will McCaffrey play in the NFL?*****
