For all of the folks that think Rumph hates Clemson, he still has a good relationship with the players that were here during his tenure. Just a few months ago, he went to the Dominican Republic with former Tiger Brandon Thompson and he still talks regularly with players such as Dunham, Gilchrist, Maye, Clemons, etc...I know he really wants to be a HC and have seen posts saying that he bad mouthed Clemson and I do not know what was said but I do know that he enjoyed his time here and still cares about the players that he coached.

So did he badmouth Clemson because he is a fierce competitor or he had a bad presence with someone else in the staff or admin?

He lefted clemson on bad terms and has no rehire tag placed on him by coach Dabo and the A.D. He bad mouth the program to rival schools/ recruiters and said Clemson would never win a national title. Crow in his face I don't want that coot back at Clemson again.
