This will be yet another great feature to make Death Valley even more special. Just another thing to pop in the eyes of recruits and visitors that says wow! IMO

If it impresses recruits and brings the best ones to play for Clemson then it's a good investment.
I think it looks ostentatious and out of place, but then it's obviously not meant to impress me.

100% with you. I think it makes our stadium look extremely cheesy. We have a classic, iconic stadium, and we're adding something that, aesthetically, looks terrible and isn't in line with the look and feel of the stadium. Feels like something our feathered friends would do to their place.

It isn't especially beautiful to me either, but I would bet that recruits will see it and think its just fabulous, and that is who it's supposed to draw the attention of. Just Wow factor in their eyes. To a 16 or 18 year old kid, things like that are cool, or that would be my bet. I don't think a waterfall in an athletic office would add anything, but the folks who visit Alabama seem to think it gets the attention of recruits and is worth it. Maybe it is. They do have pretty nice trinkets on display like a few trophies from Tiffany's, and they have had a top 5 (mostly #1 or #2) recruiting class for a long time. Somebody is impressed by that stuff.

Unless I'm missing the new wall you're seeing, I think they're still in the demolition stage and knocking down walls rather than putting them up. The pictures in the article are in reverse chronological order.

Shouldn't it have eight bridges ...being that it is an occulus ? I could be wrong , but where will the tentacles fit into Death Valley from an aesthetic point of view ?

An oculus, plural oculi, from Latin oculus: eye, denotes a circular opening in the centre of a dome or in a wall. Originating in antiquity, it is a feature of Byzantine and Neoclassical architecture. It is also known as an œil de boeuf from the French, or simply a "bull's-eye".[1]
So, an oculus is an eye in the top of something to let the light and rain come through. Hmmm? K. We need this because?? We could let the recruits go #### through it? Throw defeated foe to the distant floor to see them splat? Na. Run out of people to play too soon. Well, it could get interesting. Something, something with a tiger paw...like the Bat Light shining a tiger paw into the clouds...with lasers...and anti-drone defense system...yeah how's that sounding so far?
