I don't get all the mouth diarrhea from OU

Talking a lot of smack to your opponent before the game is never a good idea in my opinion. I just don't get why they would go that route. I understand to an extent doing it during a game but before the game? If anything I would play the "aw shucks we hope we can stay on the same field as these guys" card especially after the beatdown last year. All this smack talk makes them seem really insecure.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are giving the Tigers plenty of fuel. I just don't get the logic. Does this strategy EVER work? Any thoughts on why they think this will help their chances?

Almost like they are building themselves up to believing they are better than they really are and the loss to us last year just compounds the facts to put more fear in their heads. This is detrimental to their cause and very advantageous to us. I'm glad ESPN showed the tombstone on TV tonight to get into their heads some more.

Exactly. If I were an OU fan I'd be concerned about it but they all seem to be buying the media hype that they are better than us.
