Paul Finebaum says on his show tonight that RN tried

Jul 11, 2012, 11:40 PM

to pull the same stunt with Saban about taking all of his buddies and was told to take a hike. Also said Clemson's program was in shambles............ who believes this????

I don't.***

Finebaum is a POS that doesn't know his #### from a hole in

Jul 11, 2012, 11:42 PM

the ground. He has about as much intellect and knowledge as Phyllis from Mulga.

I disagree, I think Paul knows a lot, only in the aspect of

Alabama, and possibly Auburn. Other than those two schools I feel like he knows nothing.

Finebaum's schtick is totally about getting people's panties in wad. If he has a choice between playing nice or saying something to arouse a fan base, he will choose the latter every time. That appeals to a lot of people apparently because his show is very popular.

I've listened to the show quite a bit in the past, but listening to the constant negativity and the poor souls who are regular callers made me feel dumber and more agitated the more I listened, so I quit listening. You would all do yourselves a favor if you didn't listen either.

I agree.....based on my experience with his past shows, Finebaum is to sports radio what Doyel is to sports journalism: both use sensationalism and sports fanaticism to drive their market shares. They are sports' shock-jocks, and just take different routes to the same end result....

By the way, did he report that news about Nkemdiche when it happened? I mean, if Saban and Bama were so almighty, then I would think he would have let the world know back then that they would NOT be coerced by a high school phenom.

me...but that show is horrible. I only say I believe it

Jul 11, 2012, 11:50 PM

because it is fun for me to believe it.

I think PF is okay by himself on the air and he does some good interviews...the callers drive me away. Makes WCCP seem intelligent.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

remember when he said Clemson is a better fit than SC

Jul 12, 2012, 12:35 AM

In the sec? True there

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

heresay

Jul 12, 2012, 12:24 AM

Finebaum knows nothing about recruiting. He hardly knows football. He's a writer and radio personality in love with Saban.

Or Gene Chizik it just depends on which team is doing good

Finebaum pulled his head out of Saban's ### long enough to speak? He's a bum.

I tried to listen to PF once - and he was on such a love-fest with Bama and Auburn and anything SEC, that it was sickening. I couldn't make it thru a single episode of that twerp.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Finebaum's a professional troll

Jul 12, 2012, 8:42 AM

and apparently really good at it if all of you hate him so much.

Everything he says on his station is to incite debate or argument because it's entertaining. I personally love listening to all the unemployed highschool dropout bammers calling in to talk to PAWWWWWWL.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What was his justification to say our program is in

Jul 12, 2012, 8:44 AM

shambles? Even for a hack, that's hard to justify. We're conference champs and we're recruiting lights-out. We just took two from VT in a single season, in convincing fashion. We're coming off of a ten-win season. We continue to have the edge over FSU, our biggest ACC Atlantic rival. We have, by nearly all accounts, one of the best coaching staffs in the country and a head coach that is not ashamed to be a "CEO type" guy putting the right people in place (both coaches and players). Our conference, faltering a month ago (reportedly) has made a couple of moves to help solidify its position. As has been stated numerous times, the once maligned "5 for 1 deal" has been shown to be nothing, both with the fact that two of those players have not been offered scholarship, one is the best in the country, and two are high-quality recruits. The #1 recruit in the country did an article in the NEW YORK TIMES saying that a friends commitment to Clemson is not needed for him to stay committed. We are getting accolades...once again...for scholastic achievement. Our facilities are top notch and we continue to build.

Clemson's problems are:
1) A horrible BCS performance.
2) A losing streak against the Gamecocks.

Neither is good. The BCS performance is done...move on. The losing streak against South Carolina is bad and certainly there will be a lot of pressure to "right the ship" in Death Valley this year. Hardly the end of the world, though.

If we're in shambles, I must not understand the term.

Re: Paul Finebaum says on his show tonight that RN tried

Jul 12, 2012, 11:41 AM

I honestly have NO idea how he got a nationally syndicated radio gig on XM. That show is the worst radio show I've ever listened to, and it has nothing to do with the fact that it's 90% Alabama, 5% Auburn and 5% LSU.... the callers are the lowest IQ people with access to a phone and Paul is the most monotone, drab and pointless guy there is. He actually adds NOTHING to the show.... I mean nothing. It's basically a bunch of redneck hicks and mouth breathers calling into the show and arguing.

That's it.

He has some occasional guests who I've heard, and liked, but he is worthless.

Horrible show.... I'd rather listen to a Gamecock love-fest of a show over that garbage.
