I think Rex is a proud papa (and uncle). I would bet he takes a gig in the analyst booth for a season or more figuring out his next move on the field.
He still wants to be in the pro game and I think he will take one more shot.

Agreed ... and maybe not a coach, but like a brand ambassador or something.
I've never been convinced he is a great coach. His head coaching gigs have never done very well, but he is a great media personality. And i think he would be an interesting person out there supporting us in come capacity.

Those were college coaches who couldn't cut it in NFL ...

... and then returned to college. There are not a lot of NFL guys who flamed out and then succeeded in college.

I'd offer Pete Carroll as a coach who didn't do much in the NFL before finding success in College football. Sure, he'd been HC of the Pats and Jets, but I don't recall a lot of success.
It's cool that Rex would be attractive as a candidate for DL coach, but would he want the grind associated with recruiting.
Who knows, but I trust Dabo to figure it out.
