I'm kayaking next Saturday. Then I realized I didn't know if you thought next Saturday was the 6th or 13th because some people don't agree on that.

"Next" vs. "this coming"

Is a thing that has always bothered me.

Here it is Tuesday and 'next' Monday and 'this coming' Monday are the same day. But 'next Friday' is more than a week away and 'this coming' Friday is three days from now.

longer confused. And, while I am slightly disappointed that I can't use your tickets without paying for them, I AM happy that you were able to math your way to the finish line. I feel like I've done you a service by challenging your critical thinking skills, thus creating a better overall person.
