Trump is screwing America like a cheap w h o r e, laying waste to our laws and our values. Those that look the other way, go along with, or even defend are just as culpable. We, as a people, would've have never tolerated this from any previous president. Whether one year or five more, I look forward to the day that he and his filth leave the WH.

"We, as a people, would've have never tolerated this from any previous president"
I'd be willing to bet that we have, probably more than once, and just didn't know it.
The biggest positive and negative for trump is that he is an outsider. I think any of this being done by an insider it would be much better managed.
I'm not going full blown tin foil hat and making suggestions of who, what and when. I just think we are being naive to think that politicians and presidents past present and future aren't engaged in some shenanigans.
Does Hunter Biden get that sweet spot on the board in Ukraine without daddy? Does W get to become president on his own merit without daddy?
Look what celebrities were willing to do to get their kids into colleges, and you think politicians and presidents aren't willing to do more?

I have heard that a lot from my Republican friends.
No, everybody doesn't do it. Many politicians have much more character. Trump has none.
Everybody knows Trump is a corrupt POS. Even you.

This is such a bizarre...take. I don't like Hillary, didn't

vote for her, and I think in all likelihood, she's a real life POS. But what corruption has she been convicted of? Give us the list. We heard for years how corrupt the Clinton Foundation was, but nothing ever came of those investigations. Benghazi was investigated seven, SEVEN times, by bipartisan and partisan committees, and nothing was found, but people are still 1000% convinced that she's guilty of...something. The Uranium One investigation was quietly closed last week after 2 years. Guess why it was so quiet? Yep. Tell us about Email-Gate! Comey reopening the investigation a week before the election likely cost her the Presidency, but seriously, the Deep State is REAL, guys!
Speaking of foundations, which of Trump and Hillary's has been charged with fraud and misuse of funds, paid fines, and had all of his children (except Barron) attend mandatory classes on HOW NOT TO STEAL FROM CHARITIES?
Again, I'll reiterate: Hillary is likely the POS everybody thinks she is, but offer us a shred of proof that she's anywhere near as corrupt as Trump's long and storied history prior to being President.

People tend to get up in this right wing narrative about her that has no basis in fact.
I don't agree that she is a POS. She seems like a decent human being to me. Unlike the current occupant who is corrupt to his core, who has no character whatsoever and has no ability to see beyond his own self interest. The Constitution and The Law serve only to restrain his adversaries and opponents, not him.

Do you think President Trump is more corrupt than, sat, the candidate he ran against for the presidency?
hmmmm
Probably not. The Clintons were bent as a dog's hind leg and despite the fact that the Dems allegedly "won" when Slick Willy wasn't convicted in the Senate it bit them hard...twenty years later, the GOP is still using "but the Clintons!" as their go-to Whataboutism defense. The Dems were absolute idiots to then try and walk Hillary out - who had all of the Clinton baggage and none of Slick Willy's charm and winning smile - and they got exactly what they deserved, which was to lose a thoroughly winnable election.
You want to claim moral authority, stop backing guys like this just because he's "your" guy. Or girl.
Of course, the Dems are about to do it again with Joe Biden, yet another professional politician with a winning smile and no particular moral conviction...and of course, a laundry list of baggage of his very own, starting with young son Hunter, who is at the very least a total waste of human flesh that the Republicans willy gleefully beat Poppa Joe over the head with. And the Dems - who really do excel at losing - are walking straight into that canyon ambush while everybody who desperately wants Trump out is watching with a brown paper bag over their heads.
Still, that's run-of-the-mill political corrujption. Trump obliterates that mark; he's the kind of guy third-world nations usually elect as president and then discover he's trying to appoint himself Dictator For Life while looting the country to the walls. And who says the modern GOP is against globalism?
Why can't we just vote out all the scumbags again? Spotting decent people really isn't all that hard.

that likes booze, drugs, and strippers that's gotta famous Daddy to cash in on. He don't count and he's not even remotely in the same ballpark as W. W might've liked booze, coke, and strippers as a younger man...but he matured. Dubya had character that could be redeemed and he did so. Sure, having H. W. for a Dad helped him politically, but he was genuinely a guy that cared about his country more than himself. Dubya understood servant leadership, so did Obama...and both were greatly humbled by the office they held.
Trump couldn't even spell servant leadership, could not comprehend the importance of anything greater than himself. Don't make excuses for that POS, condemn him like you would anyone else that acted that way.

This the trial phase of the impeachment process. Witnesses

[ in reply to Two things ] |

will be called. That is going to happen. Can you imagine the political fallout for Senators that will result from NOT allowing witnesses or documents and the appearance of a sham trial by Senate Republicans? Unfortunately for you, in a trial, if no witnesses refute what other witnesses testify to, their testimony becomes fact.
My question to you is, will Trump's defense team propose any witnesses or provide any documentation to refute what numerous witnesses have testified to and what the non-partisan GAO reported was a crime or will they just offer more of the same?
