I think the ship has sailed on his Clemson option.

I don't get the impression we are recruiting him very hard any more.

I think you are correct, I'm guessing we've basically pulled off of him. Not to discount Charlie Strong, he is a very good recruiter, but he stated early on how impressed he was with Clemson. I just think he waited too long and we filled up quickly.

This one I dont get. If I was wanted by Louisville and Clemson it wouldnt even be a contest. To each their own

In all fairness, my family is from Louisville and it is a beautiful city right there on the Ohio River. It comes down to what a kid is looking for. Louisville and Clemson are polar opposite. City/rural, northern climate/southern, the list goes on and on. Louisville is beautiful but i don't see how anyone can be split between two completely opposite schools. I often say the same thing ab recruits that can't decide between CU and USC. I'd have an easier time believing the choices were down to Louisville and USC or Clemson and Auburn. not saying the kid is lying, i'm just saying that those are two examples of schools that are similar.

or nearby and REALLY wants him at Louisville. I think that's a huge factor in this decision.

no need to insult the potential recruits while waiting out for recruits already committed to other schools (albeit a shaky commitment)
