Probably to this day the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever had. Also the event that caused me to start looking at price tags.

Panthers...sort of. Celtics...life-long going back to the early 70s teams with Havlicek, Cowens, Jo Jo White, Don Nelson. Phillies...life-long going back to the early 70s from seeing the Spartanburg Phillies as a kid.

Mets Giants Penguins Spurs
Grew up in NY, as a kid in the mid-80's forming his fandom, those two teams were the "good" NY teams at the time and had all the local press. 1986 was a good year
I didn't start following hockey until later in high school and only became a Pens fan because it was the team my grandfather loved. I wish I had known earlier. My grandfather scared the #### out of me as a kid (very gruff, always seemed grumpy), and I would have loved to have a shared sports team to help form a better bond.
Really only followed the Spurs because of the Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood Nike commercials, have been a fan since then. Say what you want about Phil Jackson, Shashevskee, *insert famous basketball coach here*. Anyone who says Greg Popovich doesn't belong in the top 5 basketball coaches of all time needs to pay more attention to what he's done over the years. Sure, it's easy when you're anchored by Robinson and Tim Duncan, but after Duncan left retired, the near Spurs dynasty has been all about finding the hidden gems and coaching them up.

the Braves, of course.
In the category of "I am entertained by their games when they're on, and like when they win": the Panthers, and whomever Lebron James is playing for. But I don't come close to actually caring one way or the other if they win.

for Jordan's Bulls as a kid, and then I used to like the Mavericks when they had Nowitzki, Finley, and Nash, and Don Nelson as coach. Very entertaining style of play.
I know I wasn't asked, but I treat Duke basketball much the same way. Entertained by them and like them winning, but don't actually get emotionally invested in the least. (Except for the period when they had McRoberts and Paulus...I did not like those teams.)

But that's just semantics. I don't really "follow" the team, except to watch their games on Sundays if I'm not doing something else.

Celtics fan since childhood but also enjoy watching the Warriors and Spurs. Flyers since a teen (Ron Hextall) Cowboys since I was a wee lad but loathe Jerry Jones and rarely watch any NFL now. Braves but the seemingly continuous work stoppages in the 80s/90s forced me to give up what little interest I had in baseball as a teen. I enjoy soccer but have no rooting interest beyond USA. Cale Yarborough Dale Earnhardt Jimmie Johnson but NASCAR's crappy rules have ruined this for me as well.
Basically, all I watch/attend now is almost anything Clemson and NBA.
