which gave the ACC more National football credibility...

FSU winning the National Championship over Auburn, or
Clemson dismantling Bama's "greatest defensive front 7 ever" even as we lost?

Neither gave the ACC any credibility. Both of those games just gave both teams elite status.

Watson had a great game but pump the breaks a little bit, if you really dismantled them you would have the trophy in your case right now

impressive numbers, but the last two touchdowns (and most certainly the last TD) were when the bama defense was just trying to contain them and let time run off the clock because we were comfortably up by 11 with 6 minutes left. You can say i'm butthurt, but I think you are because you lost the game and here you say still trying to overcompensate by saying you dismantled them. I admit they did not play as well as they could and Deshaun made sure of that. But bama made HUGE stops when down 14-7 and a few times when down 24-21..It made the stops it needed to make to win a championship. It bent greatly, but did NOT break. no dismantlement or else you would be celebrating your second natty

I agree. Bama won upfront, IMO, and shut Gallman

down. We were able to move it on the ground with DW's scrambling only. So, we didn't dismantle their front seven.
Now, on the other side of the ball, our front seven dismantled Bama's OL, IMO.

there's nothing about the word 'dismantle' that suggests RB

only...
QB yards count too.
the very thing that allowed them to handle the RB position so effectively also made them susceptible to DW's quickness.
so either one works when it comes to 'dismantling'.
hard to argue with 40 points...
but some pizz-ants will apparently.

In your above post, Bama didn't play well, bent but didn't break, etc
Yet Dodd and Watson played "out of their #### minds".
At least you admit your OL was overrated.

Honestly, I don't remember giving 2 thoughts about

the ACC in either game. They were 4 teams in two separate games for the national championship of college football.....I understand SEC/ESPN have made everything a conference issue to provide another angle of coverage, but to me, its a tertiary discussion. Wanna have a discussion about which conference is the best?? Seed each team and let each play the equivalent seed in the other conference--1 vs 1, 14 vs 14, etc.---then the discussion would have some basis. Otherwise, its just bottomfeeders leeching onto the accomplishments of top teams

has nothing to do with the conversation
around the possibility of ending this year with 2 ACC teams in the CFP?
lol...
no one said the games were 'about' the ACC.
but the image of the ACC as a whole does benefit from it's teams' success,
just as the SEC has done previously.
